In response to the furor over Republican Congressman Thomas Massie’s now infamous “dick pic” family Christmas card, with its terrifying display of military firearms lovingly wielded by the whole family, fellow troll Lauren Boebert, keen to claw her way into the limelight, sent out her own little bit of performance art as a gesture of support. The eldest of her four sons is just about to turn 16, and her youngest is about 8, so never too young to learn your way around an AR-15, I guess. Looking at this, the first thing that sprang to mind was the lyric from Dylan’s A Hard Rain’s A-Gonna Fall: I saw guns and sharp swords in the hands of young children.
