Since throwing up my hands in the last post and resigning indefinitely from the political commentary business, I’ve received a number of pleas that I keep going. Not a lot, but about as many as would read the average post, and you know, I’m touched and heartened. So, O.K., I’ll do my best to recharge my batteries, and one of these days I’ll be back in the saddle, to which end Orange Idi is certainly providing the necessary stimulus. Already, it’s almost enough to rouse even the most disillusioned amateur pundit out of his disaffected torpor. I mean, already. Matt Gaetz!!??!! Tulsi Gabbard!!!??? Recess appointments? Elon Musk leading a new department called DOGE??!! Not that any of it’s a surprise really, and not that there’s anything I can do about it, but still, who am I kidding, I’ll have to be all over it before very long, won’t I?
I’m like a cat chasing a laser pointer. I can’t catch it, but I can’t help myself.
