Just a few hours ago I was speculating who Trump would appoint if Kennedy resigned from SCOTUS. Today, Kennedy resigned.
As a rhetorical device, and not really seriously, I predicted Trump would choose this guy to fill the vacancy:
I’ve known for most of my life that the cosmos has a highly evolved sense of humour when it comes to my happiness and well-being. Thus far I’ve refrained from any special pleading. At the risk of now bringing about that which most I fear, I break my silence and say to whichever force, programmer, deity or deities pulls the strings around here, please, for the sake of the children, understand: That would not be funny.
